On Monday, some year 7&8 students went to Chilton to meet a international author John Boyne. John is an Irish novelist who published many books but is best known for his book The Boy in Striped Pyjamas. He was very interesting and had some really great advice about being a writer. While we were there we were able to get a glimpse from his latest book called The Terrible Thing That Happened to Barnaby Brocket. At the very end we were lucky enough to have some books signed by John Boyne himself and donated to the school library thanks to Mrs Allen. It was a great way to spend the afternoon Celine.
