Percy is an ordinary kid but then weird things started happening, things he can't explain, monsters attacking him being fluent in ancient Greek and finding the father he's never known. His father needs his help and Percy finds himself on a vital quest, the consequences if he fails are not good. Percy travels into the future where he deals with Zeus and the Greek Gods.
I recommend this book to 9 and over and it is a great book full of action.
