Valkyrie Cain has been on a hunt for the few teleporters that exist. Finding them mysteriously murdered, they search for the last teleporter. He is called Fletcher Wren and the servants of the evil gods the faceless ones want to use the Grotesquery to open a portal to the dimension the faceless ones were exiled to. Valkyrie uses the sceptre of the ancients to fight a large battle against the faceless ones but unfortunately as Fletcher seals up the portal, Skulduggery is grabbed by one of them and is trapped. If you read Skulduggery Pleasant Dark Days you will find the rescue of Skulduggery.
I would recommend this book to people who have a strong stomach and can handle violence.
